Our Urgent COVID-19 Appeal
Our friends, family and neighbours with chest, heart and stroke conditions are some of the most at risk from COVID-19.
We are still here, working tirelesslly to continue supporting those who need us, now more than ever - but we can only continue to do so with your help.
1,200 local people rely on our services every week. We have had to suspend our face-to-face services, but we are still here for you, as we have been for the past 74 years.
Our care team have been working tirelessly to deliver weekly support phone calls to everyone who needs us, and will continue to do so for the duration of this crisis. Through these calls, we support the delivery of the current Public Health Agency advice, as well as providing tips, hints and activities for staying well.
We are here to offer a listening ear. While many of our service users will be in isolation during this time to protect themselves, we are here to ensure that they will never be alone.
We are also working to rapidly re-design our services to find new ways of getting our help to people with chest, heart and stroke conditions and their carers, to support them emotionally, and physically through their ongoing rehabilitation and self-management.
Over 80% of our services are funded through donations from the people of Northern Ireland.
How can your donation help?
a support package of information and activities to be delivered to a local person to help them keep well during lockdown
a weekly support phone call from one of our trained co-ordinators providing a listening ear to local people currently living in isolation
one person living with a chest, heart or stroke condition to avail of our online Taking Control Self Management course
