Unfortunately due to COVID restrictions all abseils have been cancelled for the remainder of 2020. Dates will be released soon for 2021.

Reach new heights and abseil the famous Europa Hotel in Belfast in support of NICHS. Standing more than 160 feet tall, the hotel offers spectacular views across Belfast, which you can enjoy as you wave to your waiting friends and family below.

Almost 90% of our funding comes from the public, so we urgently need your help to continue delivering our care and support services to people with chest, heart and stroke conditions in Northern Ireland. By taking part in the Europa abseil, you can help us keep ‘caring through COVID’ – and have some fun at the same time.

Once harnessed up, you’ll be briefed on how to abseil and then all you have to do is drink in that view while you wait your turn. Once it’s time, you’ll be led to the edge of the building, before leaning backwards to begin your abseil. We hope you enjoy the buzz and enjoy your experience!!

How to sign up

  1. All you need to do is book your abseil with Belfast Activity Centre. (Dates for 2021 have yet to be released)
  2. Then let us know you are taking part by filling out the form below.
  3. You’ll receive an automatic email when your form is submitted and a second email with your downloadable fundraising pack. The download includes a welcome email, fundraising guide, and sponsorship forms. Your fundraising guide is packed with great ideas, including how to set up your own fundraising page to share with your friends and family.

You must be age 14 or older to participate in the abseil. Maximum weight limit is 18 stone/ 114.3kg.
