Challenge 335 FAQs

  • Challenge 335 is a new multi-option fundraising campaign from N.I Chest, Heart and Stroke. The name represents the 335,000 people currently living with a chest, heart or stroke condition in Northern Ireland.

  • The 5 options are:

Get Active – walk 335,000 steps or 33km over 31 days. You can choose to run, cycle, swim or hop the distance. Do 31 days, your way!

Get Baking – bake 335 sweet treats during August and sell them to family and friends or deliver sweet treats to your neighbours. You can also send them as gifts to people who are still self-shielding.

Get Crafting – knit, sew or crochet 335 of your favourite designs and sell them to your network. If you want to keep on theme, you could make hearts and you can find patterns on our Get Crafting page.

Get Donating – donate the money you saved during lockdown or have a clear out. Sell your unwanted goods on sites such as eBay and or Gumtree and donate a share of your profits.

Get Extreme – this one is not for the faint hearted! Challenge yourself to complete 335 sit ups, press ups or burpees in 1 day and ask people to sponsor you to sweat! Once you have completed the challenge, you can donate to nominate the next victim!

  • Absolutely. You can take on Challenge 335 at any time. Make sure you get in touch and let us know when you are planning your event so we can offer as much support as you need.

  • You can sign up for the challenge online here: (https://nichs.org.uk/get-involved/fundraising-events/challenge-335). If you would prefer to sign up offline, please contact us at events@nichs.org.uk or call us on 07436 584079.

  • There is no minimum fundraising target for the challenge but we would love you to set your fundraising target at £335.

  • Great news! You can now create your own unique online fundraising page through our website.

Simply fill in the form here to sign up (you will need to register an account on our website if you haven’t already) and select ‘yes’ to ‘Do you want us to create your online fundraising page so you can collect donations online?’.

When you fundraise or donate via our website rather than another online giving platform, there will be a smaller service fee charged on your donation, which means more of your money will go directly to support our services.

  • Covid-19 Recovery Service

Our new Covid-19 Recovery Service will help survivors deal with the physical and psychological problems caused by the illness and will assist them in building up their lung and general health on the long road to recuperation. We will use our wide experience in providing support and self-help resources to people affected by lung, heart and stroke conditions.

  • If you have any questions, please contact our fundraising team by email at events@nichs.org.uk or call 07436584079.
