Santa Claus Adds Local Charity Gift Vouchers To Christmas List

Santa Claus has been around long enough to know the saying “Health is Wealth”.  This Christmas he has interrupted his busy schedule to find out how local health charity, Northern Ireland Chest Heart and Stroke, is encouraging people to invest in their loved ones’ health by gifting them a Well Check Plus gift voucher.

Fidelma Carter, Public Health Director for NICHS, commented, “Whether you are looking for a gift to show someone you care or to thank them for all they have done for you in the last year, look no further than our new ‘Well Check Plus’ Gift Vouchers. If you have high blood pressure, cholesterol or an undiagnosed irregular heartbeat and it is not treated and kept under control, it increases your risk of having a stroke or heart attack. We all know that prevention is better than cure. Don’t let poor health creep up on your loved ones. Take that first step and invest in their health by giving them a Well Check Plus gift voucher this Christmas. The health check only takes 30 minutes but the benefits can be long lasting.”

The charity’s new gift vouchers are redeemable against a Well Check Plus which can lower people’s risk of developing heart disease and stroke by identifying hidden risk factors and providing personal advice and information to support lifestyle changes.

Well Check Plus gift vouchers for the public cost £25. For more information or to purchase a voucher, visit www.nichs.org.uk/wellcheckplusvoucher
