I’m sure you’ve heard the saying ‘Prevention is better than cure’!
That’s why prevention is at the heart of our work, helping people across Northern Ireland understand their health, spot early warning signs, and make manageable changes that reduce their risk of becoming ill.
We’re the only local charity in Northern Ireland dedicated to preventing chest, heart and stroke illnesses.
Last year, our prevention services supported 33,464 people and 394 organisations.

Communities
Delivering health checks for high blood pressure and irregular heart rhythms, alongside programmes like Well You, focusing on communities most in need. Last year we delivered 8,1666 health checks.

Schools and youth settings
Helping children and young people build healthy habits through Chester’s Challenge, Active Breaks and You and Me NI Vape Free. Last year we reached 22,996 children and young people across NI.

Workplaces
Providing health checks, Well Talks and programmes to support healthier working lives. Last year we supported 1,804 employees.
