Work Well Live Well Update - Summer 2026

Welcome to your Summer Work Well Live Well update!

Here is a quick look at some upcoming health and wellbeing campaigns, key awareness days, and health and wellbeing events - plus updates and inspiration from other participating workplaces

Chief Medical Officers' New Physical Activity Guidelines Update

The Chief Medical Officers of Northern Ireland, Wales, Scotland and England have recently updated the physical activity guidelines.  Research shows that regular physical activity provides a range of physical and mental health benefits, including reducing the risk of disease, managing existing conditions and developing and maintaining physical and mental function.

The new guidelines put more emphasis on the message that every movement counts and even small incidental increases in activity can benefit health.

“Any activity is better than none and more is better still”.

Bronze Accreditation Success!

The Work Well Live Well team have been busy awarding some wonderful workplaces with their Bronze Work Well Live Well accreditation.  This highlights the ongoing commitment these workplaces have shown to prioritising the health and wellbeing of their staff.  Well done to those pictured - Bloomfield Collegiate School, Causeway Geotech and Tourism NI - and lots of others not pictured!

We are recruiting workplaces for the programme in the Western, Southern, Northern and South Eastern area so please spread the word with other businesses, friends and contacts.

In June, GolfNow got the competitive streak out of their colleagues with a nostalgic school sports day!  It was a fantastic chance to step away from the screen, get active, reconnect with colleagues and enjoy a healthy dose of friendly competition.
