Red Dress Fun Run – Join Us!
It's the final countdown! The Red Dress Fun Run takes place on Sunday 22 March, and we’d love you to be part of it!
Whether you run, walk or wheel, this fun and inclusive 5K is all about coming together to raise awareness and funds to fight heart disease.

Bring your friends, family – and even your furry companions – and enjoy the fantastic atmosphere at Stormont Estate. Dress in red or get creative with a costume, honour a loved one, and help support life-changing heart services, research and prevention.

Can you spare a few hours of your time the morning of 22nd March at Stormont Estate to support NICHS?
We have a number of roles we need your help with including route marshal, site setup/take down, registration, giving out water or medals, and cheering on runners.

80th Anniversary Mighty Mournes Challenge
Saturday 12th September 2026
Pick your peak and push your limits in our brand new hiking event, now open for registrations! Choose between conquering Slieve Donard or tackling three peaks in one day — Slieve Donard, Slieve Commedagh and Slievenaglogh. From first-time hikers to seasoned adventurers, this is your chance to challenge yourself while supporting people affected by chest, heart and stroke conditions. You can come by yourself or gather your friends, family, sports team or work colleagues. Whoever you bring it is sure to be a day to remember!

Take on the thrill of a lifetime by abseiling 100ft down the iconic Europa Hotel in the heart of Belfast! This unforgettable challenge offers breathtaking views and an adrenaline rush you won’t forget anytime soon. By taking part, you’ll also be raising vital funds to help NICHS support local people living with chest, heart and stroke conditions. Every step over the edge will make a real difference to people across Northern Ireland who rely on our care, services and research. Are you ready to take the leap?

“I’ve completed ten marathons and lots of half marathons. I wasn’t concerned about my health, but I had a stroke at just 50.”
Thomas Gray from Newtownabbey had no warning signs before collapsing at home last February. The stroke left him unable to move the right side of his body, but thanks to fast action and urgent treatment, Thomas began the long road to recovery.

Over the past year, with support from Northern Ireland Chest Heart & Stroke and rehabilitation through the Healthwise scheme, Thomas has worked hard to rebuild his strength and return to work.Now he’s preparing to take on the Red Dress Fun Run at Stormont Estate to raise awareness that stroke can happen to anyone — at any age — and to give hope to others on their recovery journey.
