“It wasn’t even on my radar that there was something wrong.”
Malachy Nixon from Crossmaglen thought he was doing everything right — eating well, going to the gym, and working in healthcare. But at 40, he was shocked to discover he had an undiagnosed heart condition that had led to heart failure.
Now recovering, Malachy is sharing his story during Heart Failure Awareness Week, which is this week, to remind others to listen to their bodies and not ignore symptoms — even if they seem minor.
