Hello
Last year, you helped make the Red Dress Fun Run something really special — and we’d love you to be part of it again! ❤️
This March, the event returns to Stormont for another fun, welcoming 5K, uniting people who care about protecting local hearts.
Whether you run, walk or wheel, your involvement helps raise vital awareness and funds for heart services, research and prevention.
A huge thank you to our 2026 Red Dress Fun Run partners and sponsors, MACE NI and Musgrave MarketPlace Northern Ireland, for helping make this event possible.

Lucy's Story
Have you heard of Kawasaki disease?
Lucy McAleese was diagnosed with this rare condition that causes inflammation of the blood vessels and can lead to serious heart complications.
Although Lucy was stable for many years, she is currently awaiting cardiology tests due to an irregular heart rate — a powerful reminder that heart conditions don’t just affect older people.
Now 22, Lucy is sharing her story during Heart Health Month to support our Red Dress Fun Run.
“I’m not a runner — I’ll be walking the route — but that’s the appeal. It’s for everyone.”

February is National Heart Month
Knowing the key signs and symptoms of heart illness to look out for is one key to heart health. A good rule of thumb is that if something feels not right, get it checked.
Protecting your heart doesn’t always mean big lifestyle changes. Small steps can make a real difference:
- Moving a little more each day
- Knowing your numbers (blood pressure & cholesterol)
- Making simple swaps that fit your lifestyle
- Eating more heart-healthy foods
