February 2022 will see the re-launch of NI Chest Heart & Stroke’s (NICHS) successful ‘Will You?’ campaign and the charity is now looking for solicitor firms from across Northern Ireland to sign up to the initiative.
First launched in 2019, ‘Will You?’ involves solicitors teaming up with the local health charity, waiving their usual fee for Will writing services and instead, inviting clients to make a donation to NICHS. The money raised from the ‘Will You?’ campaign will go towards supporting the charity’s vital Long COVID recovery service, established in April 2020, to care for local people suffering from Long COVID. This ground-breaking service was the first support programme to be established in Northern Ireland to help Long COVID sufferers.
Downpatrick based firm Murlands Solicitors has been a long-standing partner of the ‘Will You?’ campaign. John O’Prey, Partner at Murlands Solicitors says; “We are proud to have worked with NI Chest Heart & Stroke on the ‘Will You?’ initiative in the past. Supporting people to make a Will or amend their current document whilst raising funds for NICHS is hugely rewarding. We have always had a great response to the ‘Will You?’ campaign and would encourage other firms to get involved with the 2022 initiative.”

Indeed, almost 90% of our care and prevention services are funded exclusively by public donations. We rely greatly on our supporters, like Murlands Solicitors, to help us keep caring for and supporting our local community. Murlands Solicitors have raised a fantastic £6357 through the ‘Will You?’ campaign and we are so grateful for their ongoing support. We’ll continue celebrating our 75th anniversary into next year and hope to welcome many new solicitor firms and work with them on the ‘Will You?’ campaign in 2022.”
