Escape the bustle of the city and join us for a night to remember this September as you experience the beauty of a stunning sunset in the Mourne Mountains before taking up our #TeamNICHS challenge - finding our way back to base camp after dark!

After some food at Meelmore Lodge we'll follow the route and climb Slieve Meelmore 680 m (2,230 ft) , taking in the spectacular views before reaching the summit to relax and watch the sun slip away into the horizon and all in aid of helping us continue our fight against chest, heart and stroke illnesses.

This is an all-inclusive event, a wonder walk not a race to the top, so suitable for anyone in general good health - no prior hiking experience required as our expert guides are on hand to help.

Approx. Duration: 6-6.5 hours
Arrival 4pm for registration and food
Hike starts at 5:30pm sharp (takes approx. 2hours to reach the top)
Sunset 7:45pm and return to Meelmore Lodge for 10:00-10:15pm
Registration fee £45
Suggested fundraising target of £100 per person

• Welcome and safety brief
• Pre hike food at Meelmore Lodge
• Qualified outdoor instructors leading the hike
• Head Torch, beanie hat and t-shirt
• Hot drink and light refreshments upon return
