As both Professor of Health Science Research at Ulster University and Research Director for the Health Science Research, Professor Hughes oversees all aspects of research activity relating to Allied Health Professions and Healthcare science research. Her research focuses on interventions for chronic pain and fatigue reduction and radiation dose reduction along with the associated underpinning biomarkers and cellular changes.
