I was born with a heart condition which has led to numerous major surgeries through the years.

Having suffered a TIA 4 years ago which went undetected due to my age and a stroke back in April 22' I've developed a better understanding of how families are affected by this disease.
I've got a positive attitude towards life and I definitely think this helped contribute towards my recovery however, the changes that occurred were all very overwhelming and difficult enough to adjust to. The resources we have here for stroke are beyond stretched and I got to see first hand just how little support there was. Thankfully Chest, Heart and Stroke were able to offer additional support including programs to help with mobility. I met some wonderful people here both working for the organisation and in attendance seeking support. I do believe this service helped me regain my confidence and created more structure in my life, and helped me develop a better routine.

We're hoping to raise £100 for the charity and we hope we smash it.
