MACE Victoria Street, Lurgan has recently hit the impressive milestone of raising £20,000 for local health charity, Northern Ireland Chest Heart & Stroke (NICHS).
MACE is the charity’s long term corporate partner and the Lurgan store is the first to reach the £20,000 mark. Reaching the £10,000 milestone in 2023, the store team has worked tirelessly over the few years since, doubling this amount.
Over the past year alone, members of staff at the store have taken part in a variety of fundraising events including static cycles, in-store collections, coffee and karaoke events. Customers have shown continued generosity in supporting these fundraising initiatives.
The charity partnership has thrived over the years, and is not solely focused on raising funds. MACE Victoria Street, Lurgan has also actively supported Northern Ireland Chest Heart & Stroke’s annual blood pressure awareness campaign, working with NICHS’s Health Promotion team to give the local community the opportunity to access free, pop-up blood pressure checks in-store.
Head of Retail Marketing for MACE, Maurice Cusack, said: “Congratulations to our MACE retailer Anthony McDonald and his team at MACE Victoria Street, Lurgan for reaching an incredible £20,000 in fundraising for our charity partner. At Musgrave, we are very proud to have supported Northern Ireland Chest Heart & Stroke for ten years, and the team at Lurgan is extremely passionate about raising as much money as possible to help the charity deliver vital services across Northern Ireland.”
