Northern Ireland Chest Heart & Stroke (NICHS), and convenience food retailer, MACE, are marking an important milestone as we celebrate our tenth year of working together. Throughout this time the charity partnership has gone from strength to strength, helping support thousands of local people living with chest, heart and stroke conditions and their families.
To mark this anniversary MACE Victoria Street, Lurgan, the top NICHS fundraising store in the MACE family, will host a Pre-Loved Pop-Up Market. The event offers fashion lovers the chance to discover hidden gems and give pre-loved clothes, shoes, handbags and more a new lease of life, all whilst supporting a great cause. The event will be held on Saturday 7th November,11am-3pm, at St Peter’s GAC in Lurgan.
Lindsay Lutton, Corporate Fundraising Co-Ordinator at NICHS, says, “We are delighted to be celebrating ten years of working with MACE. Our partnership has achieved so much to date and we are very grateful for the ongoing generosity of MACE, their retailers, staff and customers. We would also like to thank MACE Victoria Street, Lurgan owner Anthony McDonald for hosting the upcoming event. He is so passionate about supporting us and our work.”
“The Pre-Loved Pop-Up Market is not to be missed! This is a unique opportunity for the public to shop sustainably whilst supporting a great cause. Whether you are buying or selling, you will be helping make a difference to the lives of people affected by chest, heart and stroke conditions, and in an eco-friendly way. Almost 90% of our income comes from public donations so fundraising initiatives like this are vital to the work we do.”
Members of the local community are encouraged to get involved either by purchasing a table to sell their pre-loved items or by coming along to browse the stalls for a small entry fee. All proceeds from table sales and entry fees will be donated to Northern Ireland Chest Heart & Stroke.
Anthony McDonald, MACE Victoria Street, Lurgan owner, who is hosting the upcoming event comments; “We’ve been proud to support Northern Ireland Chest Heart & Stroke over the years, and our customers and local community are always incredibly generous when it comes to getting behind a good cause. As we mark ten years of partnership, we wanted to do something a little different, and the Pre-Loved Pop-Up Market event is a great way to bring people together, give pre-loved items a new home and raise vital funds for NICHS at the same time. We would love to see as many people as possible come along on the day and support us.”
Mary Cassidy from MACE Marketing says; “Reaching ten years in partnership with Northern Ireland Chest Heart & Stroke is a significant milestone for MACE. Over the past decade, our retailers, colleagues, and customers have embraced the partnership and played an important role in supporting the charity’s work across Northern Ireland. The Pre-Loved Pop-Up Market is a fitting way to mark the anniversary, bringing together fundraising, sustainability and community spirit, and we’re delighted that Anthony and the team at MACE Victoria Street, Lurgan are leading the way with this first-of-its-kind event for MACE NI.”
