Story
First thing is to ‘give back’. As everyone knows my daddy passed away very suddenly in May. Whilst the cause of his passing could not have been predicted or prevented, he didn’t have the easiest of times this past 10 years health wise. From suffering several heart attacks and undergoing a quadruple bypass in March 2011 (just like his daddy before him) to dealing with the domino effect of treatments on other parts of his body! Couple this with mummy's ongoing heart issues, the NI Chest Heart & Stoke charity has become very important to me. Support started when over £500 was raised in lieu of flowers for daddy’s funeral and I just want to continue to try to do something small to support the work of this amazing charity!
My sister Keira has kindly agreed to join me on this challenge, keep me talking and motivated! Whilst it isn’t walking the Great Wall of China (yes the mad woman has done that) it is a good ‘starter’ challenge for me!
If anyone has any spare change that they would be willing to donate I would really grateful but even if you don’t, you can still make a difference by liking the NICHS page and maybe sharing some of their posts that highlight some great work they do for people here on your doorstep!
I plan to run a couple of fundraising things over Facebook in next couple of weeks so also please keep checking in! Whisks and bowls might well be put to use!
