Coffology, the new venture of renowned water coolers and boilers provider AquAid Northern Ireland, is delighted to announce their charity partnership with local health charity Northern Ireland Chest Heart & Stroke (NICHS). Funds raised through the partnership will go towards supporting the up to 470,000 people living with a chest, heart or stroke condition in Northern Ireland.
Coffology has been created as this family team move into the vending market, focusing on providing a range of high quality bean to cup coffee machines for business settings including retail, restaurants, takeaways and offices. The company has a focus on supporting other local businesses and the same ethos of supporting local was applied with it came to choosing a charity partner.
Daniel Rafferty, Coffology Director, explains; “My sister Claire, Coffology’s Sales Director, and I have designed Coffology from the ground up to support Northern Ireland businesses wherever possible. We use local coffee roasters, marketing agencies and printers for example.”
“In customer service, all our engineers are inhouse. For example, Gareth Magee, a self-confessed coffee lover, first started in our water cooler business over five years ago. He has now moved across and is Coffology’s Senior Engineer, having spent two years travelling across the UK, training with other vending engineers and machine manufacturers.”
“It was important to all of us to choose a local charity as a partner, so Coffology can play its part in helping make a difference to communities throughout Northern Ireland. Northern Ireland Chest Heart & Stroke was therefore a natural choice for us. Throughout our team, we have all had close family members affected by heart and stroke related illnesses, so we know the impact these conditions can have on people’s lives.”
“Through our partnership with NICHS we hope to raise vital funds for the charity’s work by making a donation for every coffee machine we sell or rent to customers. We will also donate a percentage of our ingredients sales each month, so for every beverage that uses our coffee beans, chocolate or milk sold, money will go directly to NICHS. We will also help spread awareness about the charity by having their logo on both our coffee cups and machines.”
Jackie Trainor, Director of Income Generation at Northern Ireland Chest Heart & Stroke, adds; “We are very thankful to have been chosen as Coffology’s charity partner as they launch their new, exciting business venture.”
“Today, up to one in three of the population here are living with a chest, heart or stroke condition. Almost 90% of NICHS’s care and prevention services and research projects are funded exclusively by donations so fundraising efforts like Coffology’s are vital for our charity and what we can achieve.”
“The funds raised will enable us to continue to help the local community and provide life-changing services for people living with chest, heart and stroke conditions and their families. We are delighted to be working with Coffology and look forward to a great partnership.”
