80 Years of NICHS: Evenings of Music, Stories & Hope
In 2026, Northern Ireland Chest Heart and Stroke (NICHS) celebrates 80 years of supporting local people affected by chest, heart and stroke conditions.
To mark this special milestone, we invite you to join us for one of two memorable evenings of music, stories and reflection, celebrating the impact of NICHS over the past eight decades and the people who have made that impact possible.
Through inspiring personal stories, uplifting musical performances and reflections from across our community, we will honour our shared history while looking ahead with hope for the future.
Whether you are a service user, supporter, fundraiser, volunteer, healthcare professional, partner organisation or member of the public, we would be delighted to welcome you.
Wednesday 18 November 2026 - Belfast Cathedral (The Cathedral Church of St Anne), Belfast
Join us in this iconic venue in the heart of Belfast for an evening hosted by local broadcaster Cate Conway.
Enjoy performances from:
- Belfast Rock Choir - Rock Choir are the largest and original award-winning community choir experience with over 400 local choir rehearsals taking place across England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland. Members are united in their love of singing the best hit pop songs from the decades.
- Joe Kenny - Joe is a singer, musician and songwriter from Co. Armagh, with over 25 years of live performance experience. Known for his unique guitar style and powerful vocals, Joe has captivated audiences across Ireland and beyond. As a blind artist, Joe uses his music to challenge perceptions, break down barriers and show that disability does not define the person or the talent behind it.
- Arts Care Folk - Arts Care Musicians perform in health and social care settings across Northern Ireland as part of the Arts Care Creative Health Programme. They come together as Arts Care Folk to perform at a range of events across the private, public and charitable sector. Run as a social enterprise they perform all the folk and traditional favourite tunes and songs as well as popular covers from all eras.
Hear inspiring stories from NICHS service users, fundraisers and ambassadors as they reflect on the difference NICHS has made to individuals, families and communities across Northern Ireland.
Booking Information - Attendance is free, but places must be booked in advance. When reserving your place, you will have the opportunity to make a voluntary donation to help cover event costs and support the work of NICHS. Thursday 10 December 2026 - Guildhall, Derry/Londonderry
Hosted by local favourite Hugo Duncan, this special evening will bring together music, personal stories and reflections from people whose lives have been touched by NICHS.

- Momentum Community Choir - Momentum Community Choir is a vibrant Derry-based choir that brings people together through a shared love of singing. Performing an uplifting mix of contemporary favourites and well loved classics, the choir is known for its joyful sound, community spirit and energetic performances.
- Matthew Crampsey - Derry singer-songwriter Matthew Crampsey is a popular performer on the city’s thriving live-music scene. Through a blend of acoustic favourites, contemporary covers and original material, Matthew brings a warm and engaging style that connects naturally with local audiences.
Hear how NICHS has supported local people affected by chest, heart and stroke conditions, along with a special guest appearance from Andrew Clifford, known from BBC's Race Across the World, who will share how experiencing a heart attack changed his perspective on life.
